My husband saw Dr. Currie for SAAT for alpha gal on 6/16. He has had alpha gal for 24 years, with anaphylaxis & many ER visits. It has been very hard on him & hard on our family. We were desperate & praying for help. After speaking with 5 different practitioners across the state we made an appointment with Dr. Currie. The 1st thing we noticed as we walked into the clinic was a board with a handwritten Bible verse, and then another on the wall in the restroom - this immediately felt like reassurance that we were in the right place 🫶🏼🙌🏼 Dr. Currie & his staff were all very kind & accommodating. The Dr himself was patient, thorough, and knowledgeable. After the muscle testing Dr. Currie identified the reactive areas & placed 4 tiny needles in my husband’s ear. He secured them with a dot of glue & tape & they are to stay dry & in place for 4 weeks. The needles have been in for 9 days now. My husband has experienced immediate & ongoing positive encouraging signs that healing is happening for him! The 1st sign was immediate in office he noticed that the *constant* pain in his left shoulder was gone - the pain has not returned. 2) we went on a mini vacay after his appt & for the entire week he ate out at different restaurants with zero reactions from cross contamination (unheard of for him) 🌮🥗🍕🍗 3) he opened our daughters beef jerky with his teeth with no reactions 🐮 4) he ate chicken cooked in a cast iron skillet that had mammal cooked in it many times before without reacting.🍳 5) he slept in a guest bedroom at a family members house where beef tallow soap is made & stored without any symptoms. 🐮 6) his brain fog is clearing & he isn’t as tired & achy 7) he has been able to handle our animals without any symptoms 🐈 🐶🐴 8) the constant burping when he lays down at night time has gone away - he usually burps himself to sleep 😴 Dr. Currie was very confident in the success of this procedure, he has seen it change many lives, and he was excited to help my husband. Our only regret is not doing it sooner! The needles were not painful going in, and they have not bothered him. He is a contractor & works outside in south Arkansas heat daily & worried about sweating, but this has not been an issue. We researched SAAT for 4 years, and called & talked to several different practitioners before committing. "At age 14 (I turned 34 yesterday) I was diagnosed with Alpha Gal through extensive blood work. At that time, I was one of the only few patients in Arkansas with this. Nobody had heard of it. Today, it's on the rise and everyone has heard of it.
